The interim Director Portfolio & Investment Management is a new strategic leadership role responsible for maximizing portfolio value and driving disciplined investment and finance decisions across the organisation’s global platform, with a main focus on the European business. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the role ensures a structured and data-driven approach to portfolio steering, capital allocation and investment performance across multiple markets. 

You will lead the development and execution of portfolio strategy, oversee investment cases and financial modelling, and ensure alignment between investment priorities and corporate growth objectives. The role requires a strong combination of strategic thinking, financial expertise and commercial acumen to support the company’s continued journey in the renewable energy sector.

 

Functie

 Responsibilities 
•    Define and execute portfolio strategy to maximize value creation and risk-adjusted returns across ib vogt’s renewable energy portfolio; 
•    Lead evaluation of investment opportunities (greenfield, M&A, partnerships, divestments) including financial modelling, valuation and business case development; 
•    Steer portfolio performance through data-driven KPIs, dashboards and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making; 
•    Identify portfolio risks and develop mitigation strategies across multiple European markets; 
•    Arrange and structure appropriate project financings for individual projects; 
•    Establish end-to-end project control capabilities (planning, cost control, risk management, performance tracking); 
•    Establish best-practice investment governance frameworks and ensure consistency of decision-making processes across regions;
•    Support the development and construction businesses with relevant and timely information and insights; 
•    Define and drive requirements for systems, data, and reporting infrastructure; 
•    Build and develop a high-performing portfolio and investment management team fostering innovation, ownership and continuous improvement.
