Introductie

About CROWD
CROWD is an innovative group of established companies that designs and furnishes the public space and built environment. CROWD’s key focus areas are within cycling infrastructure, public shelters and street furniture. CROWD aims to make a conscious contribution to the living environment of society by developing products which enable modal transport, socialisation, and interaction, along with sustainable and circularity design principles. To support this, CROWD aims to become carbon neutral by 2050 and to reduce its carbon footprint by 50% in 2030.

CROWD, founded in 2014, has grown rapidly via its buy & build strategy, and is the holding entity within the group. Currently the group consists 6 subsidiaries, being Lumiguide, VelopA, Ziegler, IJslander, HITSA (including LAMPAS) and Bailey Street Furniture Group. Group turnover is more than €125 mio revenue and grew to nearly 530 employees, with a total of 13 office locations throughout 8 countries and 4 production locations. Therefore, CROWD is proud to be Europe’s largest street furniture and cycling infrastructure group.

In September 2023 Tikehau Capital acquired a majority stake in CROWD from Convent Capital through its T2 Energy Transition Fund. Tikehau Capital is an entrepreneurial diversified pan-European asset management and investment firm with €44.4 billion of assets under management. Through its T2 Energy Transition Fund, Tikehau Capital supports the growth of European mid-sized businesses that address the climate emergency and contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy, particularly in the sectors of low-carbon mobility, energy efficiency and clean energy production. Tikehau Capital’s majority investment in CROWD will mark a key milestone in the execution of the Company’s growth strategy, which is built on autonomous growth, operational improvements and, not in the least, the continuation of CROWD’s Buy & Build strategy. Through this partnership, Tikehau Capital will provide CROWD with operational and strategic support to further consolidate its market-leading position, leverage its global network to help accelerate its international development and expand its product portfolio with tech-enabled products, among others.
