We currently operate under various Procurement set-ups that vary in design and maturity. Our new Procurement Lead plays a crucial role in transforming Procurement into one that is more process – and technology-driven, working collaboratively with Finance and the business.
Harmonizing internal processes is a key component of this transformation. The discussion regarding the future of Procurement needs (CAPEX and OPEX) to transition from the operational level to the strategic and tactical levels.

As the new self-starting Procurement Lead, you are an inspiring and impartial performance improver and sparring partner for the Senior Management and the business owners throughout Europe. You excel in translating Procurement efficiencies into well-founded business cases and subsequently into practical processes. The role of internal game changer suits you perfectly. The Procurement Lead reports to the CFO of the company
Additionally, you implement changes effectively within the organization in order to achieve a predictable and future-proof Procurement policy.
Functie
The Procurement Lead enables the company to achieve more control by:
• Defining Procurement strategies and identifying optimization and cost control potential;
• Pro-active fact-based analyses of Procurement spend and – processes in order to get a full clear and concise picture where the money was spent and if it was spent smart;
• Setting up efficient, harmonized and future proof Procurement processes unless local circumstances prevent this.

Do you recognize yourself in the following profile?
• Completed HBO or academic education (Procurement, Facility, Supply Chain or Business) combined with an entrepreneurial and pragmatic attitude and work ethic;
• Approximately 10 years of work experience. Experience in an international MID-SIZED company undergoing STRONG GROWTH is a MUST. ONLY work experience at a LARGE MULTINATIONAL is NOT AN OPTION for this specific role. Preferably experience in a services/ real estate/ hospitality environment;
• Experience with creating local buy-in and commitment for change;
• Brings extensive Procurement tooling, KPI and contracts/ SLA best practices experience;
• Manages key account and business owner relationships;
• You have hands-on experience with executing Procurement process excellence – understanding what is needed to streamline and elevate Procurement processes from operational discussions;
• Someone who strengthens internal support without playing hierarchical games;
• The right candidate knows how to balance simultaneously process improvements and quick wins;
• A true “Hands-on Brains” profile with the right performance controlling mindset.
• Someone who is a self-starter and takes responsibility for what they see: “if no one else is doing something about it, then I will”;
• Someone who brings the necessary intellectual power and maximizes its internal use;
• A guiding personality with the ability to exert influence in a coordinated and connecting manner;
• A dynamic and adaptable mindset with the right sense of urgency to bring change;
• An independent professional who naturally “thinks and does” simultaneously. Someone who quickly gets to the core and is “high on delivery”;
• The right candidate derives value from the diverse characters within the organization;
• The right person is capable of making clear assessments about which improvement tools are suitable for which problems;
• Fluent in English and Dutch is a must, German is a big bonus;
• The right candidates lives in The Netherlands (Randstad) and is willing to occasionally travel abroad (Europe).
